Related to country: United States

we have been sleeping in the redwoods and on the beach the last couple of nights. i have misquito bites all over my face! oi. we met up with this austrian anarchist named lex who has a white sports car from arizona and we all squish in pretty tight. last night he cooked us mushroom pasta with sour cream sauce and i made fried plantain for brekkie. feelin' kinda homesick.. but learning lots of good skills. how to... pee outside, hop a freight train, steal from safeway, hitchhike, cultivate dirtyness, make soy yogurt, find edible plants, make a stove out of a pepsi can, and many other things.

:)

anarchists and hippies galore.....

chillin' in oregon with my pimpin' pirate posse. we were taken in by these christian international development youth group, at their community house in eugene. then we checked out cob building near coquille and next we hit up the hotsprings. there were lots of naked hippies and bikers there. i saw atleast two greatful dead tatoos, a rat, and some other wierd stuff. went on a walk through the forest naked and tried to weave baskets unsuccessfully. we've been staying in this dude nature's RV. nature is a natropath/nutritionist who specializes in raw food and kundilini yoga. we did yoga in the forest and we ate glorious raw meals, with the only exception of the pizza research institute in eugene where we had a topless pizza party in the rain. that was pretty good too i have to admit.

it's pretty easy to live cheaply here. plenty of camping, cool kids, and cheap/dumpstered food. i haven't eaten this well in a very long time. gearing up for rnc in august.

e-cofeminism and wicked tunes!

hey everyone,

i was just thinking recently how most of my posts on tig are responding to what people are saying. i rarely post what ideas interest me, i usually just spend my time fighting back what i see as homophobia, racism, and sexism. so i just woke up and i'm all hooped up on coffee and trying to finish up my essay and i found this really wicked link on ecofeminist cyber philosophy:

http://www-rcf.usc.edu/~orenstei/ecofem/overview.html

the essay that i'm writing right now is on ecological design, in relation to eco-feminism, deep ecology, environmental justice, and social ecology. i put it off for so long since i didn't have a due date, but now that i'm starting the RDX program next year i need to finish off my waterloo credits.

the other thing that i wanted to write about is political music. i wanted to know what political music you listen to, and find out about different political groups all across the world. some of the political music i listen to is still very sexist and homophobic (like dead prez and immortal technique) but they are still AMAZING groups, speaking their truths and getting the message out.

there is also this really good c.d. put out by dj spookey and adbusters magazine (www.adbusters.org) that has tracks by spearhead, allan ginsburg, coldcut, and so many other awesome artists. saul williams is also amazing. if you look up "not in our name" and his name on google you can download his tracks for free!

so what kind of political music do you like? please share!

elle.

one two one two this is just a check

screaming children outside my window. i am sitting in the sanctuary, the chi ballanced just right. all windows, slanted attic ceiling which two beds placed on opposites sides of the small room, a carpet in between with a pillow in the middle. all i can see is green tree tops. good organic food everyday, yummy books from the library, and high speed internet access. you would think i would be happy? instead i feel insecure and clumbsy.

shhhhhhhhhh.

go meditate.
